Rock stars and unsung heroes

Major stars, devoted fans, emotional moments: The 68th BAMBI ceremony took place in Berlin on 17 November in the Stage Theater, Potsdamer Platz. Winners of Germany’s most important media award included Pope Francis, popstar Robbie Williams and footballer Bastian Schweinsteiger. The audience was particularly moved by the story of Yusra and Sarah Mardini, who received the “Unsung heroes” award after saving a group of fellow refugees.

Felix Jaehn to receive the “Entertainment” award

With over seven million singles sold, Felix Jaehn is currently one of Germany’s hottest musical exports. A DJ and producer, he will receive the “Entertainment” award at the 68th BAMBI ceremony in Berlin’s Stage Theater on 17 November, and will appear on the BAMBI stage.

Pope Francis receives BAMBI award in Rome

On Thursday, 10 November 2016, His Holiness Pope Francis was presented with the BAMBI award, a German media prize, in Rome. Every year, Hubert Burda Media presents the BAMBI awards in recognition of outstanding achievements. The presentation of the BAMBI to the head of the Catholic Church will be shown on Thursday, 17 November during a live broadcast starting at 20:15 on the German public TV station ARD.

BAMBI for “Music International” goes to Robbie Williams

It is expected to be a highlight of this year’s live show: No other than the British singer and world star Robbie Williams will open the BAMBI award ceremony on November 17 th 2016 and welcome about 1,000 guests at the Stage Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin for a glamourous BAMBI night.

BAMBI 2014: Stars and heroes meet in Berlin

On 13 November 2014, the awards were presented for the 66th time in Berlin’s Stage Theater, honouring German and international stars and everyday heroes previously unknown to the public. Winners included Hollywood actor Uma Thurman, Irish rock band U2, Formula 1 driver Nico Rosberg and legendary director Helmut Dietl.
